Our final school building project in Dolkha, Nepal is in it’s final stage. Here are few photos of the construction work. While we are working towards completion of the building work, challenges such as inflation, unofficial blockade in Nepal and weather , landslide, transportation means, our estimated budget (£30,535) has slightly increased by £7000(estimate).
We need to raise this fund to complete the building so it can be used as soon as possible . We’ve planned few events this year and early 2019 to raise this much needs funds and need your help.
It has been a while, we haven’t provide any update since our last one. It gives me a great pleasure to inform you all that 3 out of our 4 projects have successfully been completed. Our fourth project in Dolkha is in stage two and ongoing. We have had few challenges on the way and are working towards a resolution with the help of our stakeholders. Nepal Earthquake relief program update
Dear all, work on the NSA phase II program in the rebuilding of the schools is on-going on the selected projects with the help of our charity partner The Pahar Trust.
Because of the situation in Nepal it was important to re-estimate the new requirements of the building work and survey forms have been collected and submitted to the Pahar Trust team for review and evaluation. The next stage is a finalization of the work required and design of the plan in co-operation with the School management & local government bodies.
Out of many request for help we received from Nepal, the NSA board has decided to support the below 3 schools initially. Further proposals will be reviewed and supported as required.
- Shree Gosainkunda Secondary School-Rasuwa
- Rajeshwori H S School-Sindhupalchowk
- Siddhartha Banasthali L S School, Manbu, Gorkha.
- Dolakha Suspa Kshemawoti Higher Secondary School(project with support from RBG, Edinburgh)
